Are You Hydrated?

Did you know….

  • 45%-75% of our bodies are made of water
  • 80% of our brain composition is water
  • Babies are 78% water
  • It takes 6 cups of water for ONE bowel movement!
  • We lose 15 cups per day just with normal body processes like respiration, urination and sweat!

I would say without a doubt being hydrated is one of the most important things our bodies need to thrive and function the way it was designed to!

When it comes to conception being hydrated is super important in increasing sperm quality and volume but also helps create wonderful cervical mucous which is necessary for sperm transport to the egg.

You might be dehydrated if you have:

  • Chapped lips
  • Dry Mouth
  • Headaches
  • Cramping with your period
  • Chronic UTIs
  • Kidney Stones
  • Constipation
  • High levels of Fatigue and Stress
  • Frequent Bad Moods
  • Decreased Focus and Memory

So, how do you increase hydration in your body?

Drink more water of course!

Now- standard recommendations are to drink half your body weight in ounces of water every single day- BUT I want you to add something to this….

There is such a thing as 4th phase Gel water- this type of water is what lives in our fruits and vegetables and is far more absorbent in our bodies making it way more hydrating than typical water!

In fact, if you are juicing regularly you don’t need to drink even one ounce of plain water to stay completely hydrated! Crazy Right??

So how can you get these amazing properties into your water?

Add fruits and vegetable to it!

My favorite 4th phase gel water is cucumber lemon water, you can add it per glass, or you can make a big container of it to keep in your fridge and just pour from that each time you refill! Get creative and add different fruits and vegetables to find your favorite combination, and on the plus side it makes your water taste amazing too!

Your Hydration Challenge:

Start every day off by drinking 16 ounces of gel water FIRST THING in the morning when you wake up.

You can keep it at your bedside ready for you when you wake up or if you like cold water like me- have it ready for you in the fridge for an easy grab!
